Use biomechanical customized insole to relieve the pain of thumb valgus

What is a bunion?

A bunion is a bony projection on the joint at the base of the big toe. It grows gradually and your toe turn inwards over time.. A bunion can sometimes result in a lump on the inside of the base of the big toe, which may even become red and swollen, which means that the lump at the base of the bunion rubs against the shoe and gradually becomes inflamed. The main manifestation of a bunion is the outward deviation of the bunion, which may be accompanied by the deviation of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th toes at the same time.

What are the common diseases associated with bunions?

As a result of a bunion, the base of the first metatarsal will protrude medially, which will rub against the inner side of the shoe and over time will tend to cause redness, swelling and inflammation of the bunion capsule, thus causing severe pain on the inside of the foot, which can seriously affect people's normal activities. Bunions are prone to osteoarthritis of the first metatarsophalangeal joint, which can lead to degeneration of the first metatarsophalangeal joint and narrowing of the joint space, and therefore often cause joint pain on rainy days.
